Open Palm

There are many different ways in which people believe in, communicate and think about God. We find the presence of God in people, places, things, and religious icons. The palm represents an open gate, the gate to heaven and to a further understanding of one's faith. There are certain responsibilities that we all have, no matter what faith we follow: we should give love, share knowledge, and help others. In return we ask for, and receive from God, life, happiness and knowledge.

This section of the exhibition begins with the candle representing the light of faith that is always shining on us from above. The children are at the bottom or end of the section because they represent the foundation of any faith.
